Set in La Quinta’s desert landscape, The American Express PGA Tournament blends championship golf with immersive experiences—from concerts and charity events to fan activations and hospitality—drawing visitors to a signature moment in the season.
the Challenge
The American Express PGA Tournament needed a refreshed website built on a user-friendly platform that could support high traffic and seasonal demand. The new design would reflect American Express branding while guiding visitors through ticket purchases, event schedules, FAQs, hospitality options, parking maps, tee times, sponsorships, volunteer signups, and more—all with a seamless, destination-first experience.
Our Solution
The website launched in two phases to align with the rhythm of the tournament season. Phase I introduced a refreshed digital presence featuring updated championship details, a design inspired by Palm Springs, and consistent American Express branding throughout. Phase II focused on visitor engagement as the event approached—activating ticket sales, hospitality info, parking maps, concert details, and more. During the tournament, real-time updates like tee times and player commitments kept fans informed. After the event, key pages were archived until the next season, when the cycle would begin again.

The homepage highlights the latest champion, a countdown to tournament week, and quick links for tickets, volunteers, and sponsors—welcoming visitors into the experience.
